On the occasion of the Dubai Airshow starting next week, Lufthansa Technik AG, in collaboration with Boeing Business Jets (BBJ), has now unveiled full details of its latest VVIP cabin concept for the BBJ 777-9. The new renderings of this spacious interior, which covers more than 340 square meters in total, present a design specifically tailored to the requirements of a new generation of VVIP and head-of-state aircraft. The final designs combine traditional influences from the Middle East's cultural heritage with a modern twist, and now reveal for the first time the name of this new concept.

Lufthansa Technik and Emirates have just signed a Base Maintenance Services (BMS) contract for Airbus A380s during the Dubai Airshow. By October 2026, another 23 of the world’s largest passenger aircraft will undergo C-checks performed by Lufthansa Technik Philippines (LTP) in Manila. With the agreement now signed, the Dubai-based airline is once again entrusting heavy checks for this fleet type from its own in-house MRO capacities to the world’s leading MRO provider.

Saudia Technic and Lufthansa Technik signed a ten-year Total Component Support (TCS) contract at the Dubai Airshow, focusing on Saudia's Airbus fleet. This collaboration builds on Lufthansa Technik's ongoing provision of components to Saudia's Boeing fleet since the beginning of this year. In a notable expansion of their partnership, the companies are introducing a joint training program starting in January 2024. This comprehensive initiative underscores the commitment to elevating operational efficiency and excellence in the aviation industry.
